COOKIE POLICY
Effective Date: April 22, 2026
1. Introduction and Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on zenrota.com, the purposes they serve, and the choices available to you.
Zenrota Limited is the website operator and primary contracting entity. Zenrota Tourism Travel and Trade Limited Company provides regional operational support in Turkey.
References to “Zenrota,” “we,” or “our” describe these entities in their respective roles. Each entity’s responsibilities for processing personal data depend on its actual involvement in determining the purposes and means of processing, as explained in the applicable Privacy Policy and Data Protection Notice. Contracting status alone does not determine data-controller status.
This Policy supplements those notices. It does not constitute consent to cookies or replace any consent required by applicable law.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, tablet, smartphone, or other device when you visit a website. They allow a website to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and recognize a browser or device.
Similar technologies, such as local storage, pixels, and tracking tags, may perform comparable functions. Where applicable, the safeguards and choices described in this Policy also apply to those technologies.
Cookies may be:
- Session cookies: Generally expire when the browser session ends.
- Persistent cookies: Remain for a specified period unless deleted earlier.
- First-party cookies: Set by the website you visit.
- Third-party cookies: Set by another provider whose technology is used on the website.
Cookie-related information may include online identifiers, IP addresses, device and browser details, preferences, and browsing activity. Such information may constitute personal data even where it does not directly identify you by name.
3. Cookie Categories and Purposes
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies support essential website functions, such as maintaining secure sessions, processing booking steps, preventing fraudulent activity, and recording cookie preferences.
They are used without optional consent only where permitted by applicable law and supported by a valid legal basis. They must not be used for unrelated advertising or optional tracking.
3.2 Performance and Analytics Cookies
These cookies help measure website traffic, understand how visitors navigate the website, identify technical issues, and improve performance.
Where used, they are activated only after you provide consent through the cookie preference controls.
3.3 Functional Cookies
These cookies remember preferences or enable enhanced features, such as remembering language choices across visits.
Optional functional cookies require your consent before activation. A cookie necessary to provide a feature you expressly request may qualify as strictly necessary, depending on its actual purpose and applicable law.
3.4 Advertising and Marketing Cookies
These cookies may be used to measure advertising effectiveness and personalize promotional content based on browsing activity or expressed interests.
Where used, they remain disabled unless you provide consent. Consent to advertising cookies does not, by itself, authorize promotional emails, SMS messages, or telephone calls.
4. Cookie Information and Duration
The cookie preference panel and accompanying cookie details shall identify the technologies actually deployed, including:
- Cookie or technology name.
- Provider and relevant domain.
- Category and specific purpose.
- Information collected or accessed.
- Whether it is a first-party or third-party technology.
- Duration or expiry period.
- Applicable consent requirement or other legal basis.
- Relevant recipients and international-transfer information, where applicable.
Cookie duration and the retention period for information collected through a cookie are separate matters. Personal data shall not be retained longer than necessary for the stated purpose or any applicable legal requirement.
5. Your Choices and Consent
The cookie preference controls allow you to accept optional cookies, reject optional cookies, or select categories individually.
Optional categories shall be disabled by default. Consent requires an affirmative action; continuing to browse, scrolling, closing a notice, or accepting general website terms does not constitute consent.
Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent access to core booking services. Some optional features may remain unavailable unless you enable the relevant category.
You may revisit the cookie preference controls at any time to change your choices or withdraw consent. Withdrawal shall be as easy as giving consent and will stop future consent-based activity for the relevant category.
Withdrawal does not retrospectively invalidate processing lawfully carried out before it. Existing cookies may also need to be removed through your browser settings.
6. Browser Settings
You can additionally use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Instructions vary by browser and device.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent certain functions, including secure login or booking completion, from working correctly. Blocking optional cookies may affect personalization or other optional features.
Browser controls supplement the website’s consent mechanism; they do not replace our obligation to obtain consent where required.
Deleting cookies or using another browser or device may require you to set your preferences again.
7. Third-Party Technologies and International Transfers
Where third-party analytics, functionality, or advertising technologies are used, their providers, purposes, and relevant privacy information shall be identified in the cookie details before consent is requested.
A provider’s technology shall not be treated as strictly necessary solely because it is supplied by a third party or integrated into the website.
Where cookie-related information is transferred outside Turkey, the transfer must comply with Article 9 of Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) to the extent applicable. Consent to optional cookies does not automatically satisfy the separate requirements for international data transfers.
Transfers between Zenrota’s Hong Kong and Turkish entities are also subject to applicable transfer requirements. Corporate affiliation alone does not authorize a transfer.
8. Personal Data and Your Rights
Cookie-related personal data are processed in accordance with applicable data protection law and the relevant Privacy Policy and Data Protection Notice.
Where the KVKK applies, you retain the rights provided by Article 11, including rights concerning information, access to processing details, rectification, erasure or destruction where the statutory conditions are met, objections to adverse results arising exclusively from automated analysis, and compensation for unlawful processing.
You may contact [email protected] with privacy inquiries. Formal KVKK applications may be submitted through the legally recognized methods explained in the KVKK Data Subject Application Form.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the technologies used, processing activities, or applicable legal requirements. The effective date shall be updated accordingly.
Where a change introduces a new consent-based purpose or otherwise requires renewed consent, the relevant technology shall not be activated for that purpose until the necessary consent has been obtained.
Publication of an updated Policy does not, by itself, expand the scope of your existing consent.
